This was my first time going here today 7/16/23 and it most certainly will not be my last! this place is amazing, Hands down best diner I’ve been to in years! The staff each and every one of them are so kind and attentive! Makes you feel like your family when you walk in and when you are walking out! The food was just as good! My partner and I got a waffle with strawberries on it, and an omelette and breakfast sandwich, it was all delicious! Love the atmosphere and how everyone seemed to be constantly restocking or cleaning if they weren’t with a customer! The staff are an actual family who run and work there from what I gathered! These are the places that need to stay open! Don’t hesitate, just go!!
My absolute favorite breakfast place. Fast, friendly service, even when the are busy. Good coffee, and the Western Omelet with hashbrowns is my go-to. They also have great pancakes (and I normally don’t even like pancakes…)

My husband and I went to UNI and have missed this place so much. Came back into town for a family members graduation and had to get our favorite breakfast. Best in the business. Still the best hash browns and pancakes I’ve ever had.
We always have great food and great service here. This is a locally owned business in the Cedar Valley. The family is hard working and makes customer service and quality food No. 1. The Biscuits and Sausage Gravy are the best you will find anywhere. We have eaten biscuits and gravy across the USA and there are no fresher biscuits, or better sausage gravy. Their eggs are always perfectly cooked. The hash browns always crispy. Stop in and enjoy a classic Diner experience. UPDATE July 13, 2025: Had the absolute best Patty Melt I have had in forever!!! The food here is always simply the best as is the service!!!

This is a very special, family-owned business. In my top three breakfasts of all time—the biscuits and gravy, eggs, and sausage are absolutely authentic, truly country homemade. The owner is a sweetheart; you can see her heart in everything they do, and her son, husband, and family are right there, keeping things moving smoothly. They stay busy the whole time they’re open, which speaks to the care and effort they put into every detail. If anyone’s looking to volunteer or lend a hand, I’d encourage you to reach out—I’m sure they’d be grateful for the help and would put it to good use.
BEST BREAKFAST IN THE WATERLOO, CEDAR FALLS AREA, AND HONESTLY BEST. BREAKFAST. IVE. EVER. HAD. I love Gravys. I love the owners. And most importantly I love the atmosphere and the food. Quality everytime. Even Texas breakfasts dont hit just like this. If you're like any American, and love your breakfast. This place is literally a must stop and must eat!!!!
